~~Low Fat Fettuccine Alfredo Sauce!~~

This recipe book has a nice variety of Fettuccine Alfredo recipes included....ten in all but a nice selection to choose from.

I appreciate the fact that the author uses low fat ingredients at times and also includes low sodium. The one that caught my attention is the Fettuccine Low Fat Alfredo Sauce. Low Fat milk, egg yolk, parmesan cheese, of course the fettuccine, butter and a low fat cottage cheese. I don't own a food processor but I used my hand mixer on low to mix most of the ingredients for about 45 seconds. Then, I added the low fat cottage cheese with a small spatula to the mix. Back to the mixer for a short spin and it was done... I loved the taste of this recipe and will make it again.

WOW... GREAT Read! Trump at his BEST!

I Actually READ the Book...

This new little stunt where liberal groups send out an email blast commanding their minions to go bomb Amazon ratings with 1-star reviews is as immature as it is revealing about the follower mentality of modern liberalism.

So here's a review from someone who actually READ the book. In fact, I will include page references to prove as much.

"Time to Get Tough" by Donald Trump is, without question, Trump's best and most impressive book to date. The writing leaps off the page and is the most serious, thoughtful book Trump has yet published. The writing is bold, clear, and surprisingly packed with details on specific policies and how we can save America from the mess Obama has made of the country.

One of the most impressive features of the book is the 15 pages of endnotes it contains. Again, because I actually READ the book (unlike the little liberal 1-star brigade), I will give you the exact amount of endnotes, which is a jaw dropping 243 sources found on pages 193-207.

Those who see Trump on TV will be impressed with the depth of detail and policy recommendations he makes in this book. He comes across as a serious, thoughtful man who loves America. In fact, had he published "Time to Get Tough" sooner, it's likely his run for the White House would have produced major momentum.

The most powerful chapters are chapter 2 "Take the Oil," chapter 5 "A Government We Can Afford," and chapter 7 "A Safety Net, Not a Hammock" (great chapter title).

On page 12, in chapter 2 "Take the Oil," Trump advocates a cost-sharing plan that our own Government Accountability Office (GAO) says would be a wise way to have Iraq share the costs of liberation. It would divert a portion of oil profits to the American families of soldiers, sailors, airmen, or Marines who have lost loved ones or have been wounded from the war in Iraq. It would also help defray the costs to the taxpayers. It's a brilliant idea that few people know about. Trump deserves credit for bringing it to light.

On page 67, chapter 5 "A Government We Can Afford," Trump begins a discussion of the massive spending and government waste in our system. He starts the chapter with this eye-popping statistic: "Every day, your government takes in $6 billion in revenue and spends $10 billion. That means every day the federal government has to borrow $4 billion more than it has." That chapter is as eye-opening as any I've ever read and contains numerous, detailed policy solutions for how to get our fiscal house back in order. Again, kudos to Trump.

Finally, on page 113, chapter 7, "A Safety Net, Not a Hammock," Donald Trump goes into impressive detail about what the Wall Street Journal has dubbed the "Food Stamp Crime Wave." This part of the book enraged me; knowing how many people are suffering in this economy, it was repulsive to see how many people are bilking the system and selling food stamps they don't qualify for on Craigslist, Facebook, and elsewhere.

"Time to Get Tough" is without a doubt Donald Trump's best book and one packed with practical, serious policies to fix our crumbling country. But you have to buy it and actually READ it to know that.

Trump is Right, we are losing the country!

From an objective standpoint, most of the reviewers on here couldn't strike a negotiating deal if their careers depended on it.

Despite Trump's own self-promoting ego and business shortcomings, he has worked hard to make himself a household name across america, Unfortunately, many great business leaders that our country has seen have gone bankrupt. Does anyone remember Walt Disney and his numerous bankruptcies during the two decades prior to opening Disneyland? Anyway, even the most well known Presidents and business leaders didn't always have great financial success during their careers before they became famous.

Trump is no different.

With this book Trump highlights just about everything that most intelligent thinking voters have been shouting in their heads for years! If we don't get some serious leadership at the top, we might as well kiss the country goodbye. Leadership is about making smart business choices and being smart about how to fight wars and win them. Without that attitude, America would've never become the nation it has or Hitler or Stalin would've succeeded.

Trump in this book offers a real alternative, that pulls no punches. His views step on people's ego's and puts liberals in their place. The fact is on the issues, nobody can prove that Trump is wrong in a one on one debate, much like JFK. With Gasoline Prices and Federal Trade Imbalances, along with exploding National Debt, Trump offers real solutions that frankly will upset people, but unless we start talking about the truth that makes us all angry we're never gonna have the standard of living our parents and grandparents had.

Save us Mr. Trump!

Excellent Summary of the Problems We Face Today

Trump's book is outstanding at summarizing the problems our country faces today. I was impressed well he underlined the seriousness of our problem: we are a debtor nation that has run up more debt during the current administration than in all our country's previous history-- yet we have a current government that is more interested in expanding its own programs, power and political base than dealing with this serious situation. The current Administration may argue it was necessary bailing out the 1%, namely Wall Street and the Banks, plus the Auto Industry to save us from an even worse recession. Donald Trump makes me realize our magnitude of debt is so that history may show we actually took the cowardly path in using debt for bailouts-- rather than deal with the problem and take the pain here and now, we have elected to borrow our way to a soft landing and pass the costs of our current recession to future generations. How would we have dealt with today's recession if our forebears had structured World War II's costs such that we were still paying for the war in 2011? Future generations will have no autonomy to deal with their own problems because they will be paying off the problems we have today. That is why it is simply reckless to further expand government programs and institute national health care when no level of tax increases can finance our current level of government spending. No level of government initiative will ever allow us to reach the utopia that supporters of government expansion seek. I spent many years living in Eastern Europe where everyone already has "free" health care that no one given private care alternatives wants to use.

Fantastic to sum it up.

Is incredible better than fantastic? If yes, than this book is incredible, otherwise, if these words mean differente things, than I am pretty sure this book is both.
Could not let it go until I finished it and the "wow" feeling is still hanging around my head.
At first glance, it might seem that it's just a book about analysing data, but as you step further and further, things just go on, becoming even more interesting as you turn the pages.
Who's the best coach in history? The country most passionate about football? How to score in a penalty shoot out...?
All these questions are answered, or at least are presented in a way that it should give a wider view of things, and not only that, but through out the text are interesting facts intertwined with analyses and studies. And this done beautifully.
I HIGHLY recommend it to people that love "soccer". Give it a chance and you might feel marveled by it!

Remarkably moving, much more enjoyable than I expected

Soccernomics does two things very well. One is expose widely accepted beliefs in soccer culture. This is precisely what I expected from this book, and it's worth buying just to be informed on that front.

It also uses statistics to reveal the social unity that soccer fosters. I was very moved by the chapter that focuses on suicide and fandom (and club loyalty at large).

Please do not be scared away by the word "statistics". I hate math as much if not more than anyone. This book is extremely accessible to the average reader, but still deep enough to pique intellectual curiosity.

In short, Soccernomics is an absolute must-read if you are a soccer fan, period.

Amazing insights

Fantastic analysis of a sport which I have loved and followed for more than 30 years. Most findings are straight out surprises while a few are hunches I had nursed all along, like inward curving corner kicks lead to more goals, albeit scrappier ones.... This book will certainly make you sit up and question everything you ever thought you knew about football.

Un romanzo breve ma intenso, commovente soprattutto nella consapevolezza che si tratti dell’ultimo scritto di C.Wolf. La combattiva scrittrice si addolcisce nel narrare, nel suo stile inconfondibile in cui presente e passato s’intrecciano, i pensieri di August, un anziano autista di autobus. In una placida notte, mentre conduce a destinazione il suo autobus di gitanti, August ricorda sprazzi degli anni passati in sanatorio quando era bambino. Ricorda la durezza delle condizioni di vita e la presenza continua e fredda della morte, ricorda anche, per�, con grande lucidit� e amore la figura di Lilo, l’angelo custode dei piccoli malati. I ricordi sono intrisi della malinconia tipica della vecchiaia, quando solo alcuni momenti, i pi� importanti, ritornano vividi, incuranti del tempo.

Why MacDonald makes Us doubt

Joe McGuinnis has done an amazing job writing a book that is honest and has certainly withstood the test of time.
I have read everything on this case and what stands out for me is the hold this has on almost anyone who chooses to become aware of the story. I completely understand Mr McGuinnises feelings about Jeffrey MacDonald....the questions one askes : if he did this how can I like him? The doubt one might have, even in the face of so much physical proof.
It is not the facts which cause one to doubt MacDonalds guilt.......it is MacDonald himself. It is our faith in ourselves and our own goodness which causes us to doubt that he could be guilty of such a thing.
Rod Stewart sings a song with the lyrics:
If i listen long enough to you,
Ill find a way to believe that its all true.
Knowin that you lied ,straight faced, while I cried.
Still I look to find a reason to believe.
And that is the thing about jeffrey MacDonald, he is the kindof guy who makes you look to find a reason to believe he is innocent. So much about him appears , at least on the surface, like us. So much about him looks good, looks in some cases, even better then us.
After reading Fatal Vision I realized I know Collette MacDonald and what went on in the MacDonald family much more. Throughout the book Jeff MacDonald gives examples where he, in a sense, abandons his wife and children. He leaves her living at his parents home while he works and goes to school. He leaves her while he is working and in medical school, he doesnt attend the birth of their 2nd child, he joins the army, he joins the Green Berets, he joins the boxing team.....all things that will take him away from his wife and family. What wife would be happy about that? He is constantly telling Collette I am leaving you alone. I have work, i have friends, I have an activity. He often has more then one job. When there is a chance for he and Collette and the children to be alone and have family time Jeff invites people over; the neighbors, his friends, family. On Valentines day before the murders Jeff had a friend of his over to the house. What wife wants to spend Valentines day with her husbands friend?? There is also an example of a holiday where Collette was preparing a huge dinner and Jeff wanted to invite the neighbors over. Collette clearly told him no and he did it anyway and ruined her dinner. Hours of her hard work and the love put into a family dinner is ruined by him. Do people really believe she didnt FEEL the blatent disregard for her in that?? He bought a pony. Everyone likes to believe this pony is a grand gesture. Why would a mother with 3 small children under the age of 6 , who will be alone and saddled with the responsibilities of a home, wish to take on the responsiblity of a pony??? Again Collette is completely disregarded. Collette loved MacDonald , of that i am certain. Because she asked for so little from him emotionally. And its very clear she got nothing.
MacDonalds mother also says that she never saw any cruelty in her son. I beg to differ. I see cruelty when a husband invites a friend over for Valentines day instead of giving the evening to his wife in appreciation for her love and devotion. I see cruelty when instead of protecting the thought, love, and time that went into a holiday dinner his wife is preparing he invites people over who are not family and devalues his wifes efforts. I see cruelty when his wife, who needs a C section, which is major surgery, and he leaves her bedside, the hospital having her to go through it alone. He was a doctor. Any doctor knows with surgery there is a risk of death. He apparently didnt care and this was conveyed to Collette. In addition to all this.....are the betrayals....the numerous women he slept with. He had no time for his wife or family, but he somehow made time for them. In the book he says she may have known about the stewrdess......he thinks nothing of this, yet anyone who has ever been cheated on can tell you.....one stewardess is one too many. The pain of one is tremendous.

I know MacDonald. I went out with someone just like him. A golden boy on the outside. To this day a golden boy. Most would find it difficult to believe what this person is like behind closed doors. Except those who are VERY close to him. The thing is, so few people are emotionally close to him. Like MacDonald, he has a million friends and yet no truely close friend who KNOWS him. Like MacDonald he will tell you anything. Like MacDonald he is obsessed with his image of golden boy and will say and do anything to keep that image. Like MacDonald he is a liar, a manipulator, a fake. He is an ape. He mimics emotion and caring, but feels nothing for others. His currency is praise and admiration, he feeds off it like it was food. In McGuinesses book Collette wrote MacDonald a letter in the very beginning. In it she signs by saying she adores him. I was shocked, because my friend was told the same thing by me and I used those exact words....I adore you. His comment? I like that. I like those words you used....no one has ever said that to me before. So I know why MacDonald kept that particular letter. Collette adored him. We all know that means she loved him. But for MacDonald ....it meant he was a god.

No doubt in my mind

This is a detailed book in the true crime genre, nearly 1,000 pages. But a case that spans over a decade, along with biographical descriptions of the victims (dead and living) is bound to be long. I became interested in this because of the recent attention on this case.

The book is not a hatchet job on Jeffrey MacDonald. His actions and words are sufficient to draw negative conclusions about his character. As charismatic as he seems to be, when attention about him becomes negative, he responds in very non-charismatic fashion. Repeatedly. Uncontrollably. Without fail. In MacDonald's mind, he appears to be the center of the universe and worthy of awe.

It took me about 10 days to get through the book. At no time was I tempted to move on to other reading. But it is long. If McGinniss had left out any part of the book, it could be regarded as selectively anti-MacDonald. MacDonald's improbable explanation of the murders (complete strangers, hippies on LSD, who just collectively decided to violently murder a pregnant woman and two young girls while leaving the Green Beret relatively unscathed) is a far reach even for those who would like to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Right where he needs to be

Couldn't put it down. I read this and A Wilderness of Error, both with an open mind, and I have to say the case against MacDonald is strong. He did it. Helena Stoeckley was a drug addict who admitted she could not remember if she was present and at other times was sure she was, and expressed fear of the defense counsel due to their threats against her. She was confused. Her brain was fried. All the people who came to MacDonald's defense and said he couldn't possibly have done it because he was such a great guy don't understand that psychopaths can pull the wool over the eyes of even their closest loved ones, even mental health professionals. He had motive, he wanted to be free to live the single life without Colette and fatherhood getting in the way. Most importantly, the forensic evidence was damning.

Amazing! I'm speechless as to how helpful this book will be!

Wow! I absolutely wish I knew about this book last semester when I was taking Biology II. This semester I'm taking Biology I and know for fact I will make an A+ in lab. Last year I took pictures of all specimens/models and labeled them on my computer. Now there is no need the book is even more detailed than I could ever have imagined.

A must have for any biology major. Any lab slides you'd possibly need are in this book. Also great for people who are just curious about nature and want guides to take on camping trips, hikes, etc.

Worn but not bad

Definitely used, the back cover was detached upon revival but all it needs is a simple bind. I was allowed to attend lab so it got the job done just fine. Also the description warns of wear and tear so it isn't like I was deceived.
